It's Tuesday - a week away
Just one more week and we will be off.Getting the camera and equipment prep. Loading music on new small laptop we bought for the trip. Got it at Factory Direct for $149.00 so if it's stolen or lost no biggy.
Starting to seriously look into travel insurance. Lou got a new Mastercard which carries 30 days of med coverage/year but only 15days per trip.Probably looking at $550.00in addition. Just got a price from Nomads for $529.86 tax incl.$541.72 +tax from TourMed. Will have to decide tomorrow. Nomads looks the better , also get insurance to cover personal items such as camera etc. Thinking of taking my CPAS machine(anti-snoring for sleep apnea) so it would be covered as well.
Lou bought some nice clothes for the trip from the local boutiques and I dont need any so just some little gifts for our couchsurfing hosts and stuff for kids and we should be good to go.
Things we still have to do
1. Arrange ride to airport - our son (our good son) is giving us a ride to Niagara Falls Airport
2. Buy insurance - in process
3. Put Cinnamon (sons car) out of her misery - Sell to wrecker - tomorrow
4. Drain hot tub ( probably Sunday)
5. Get hold of handyman to check evetroughs
6. Retrain Curtis on how to restart water
7. Pack bag and double check also select footwear
8. Check all equipment and medical stuff
9. Check we have passports, tickets etc.
10. Say goodbye to all give love and kisses (maybe one more sleep over for Isaac)
11. Don't worry about getting money (Lou's job)
12. Don't worry about anything (Lou's job)
Got a lot on list done then got an additional list (Lou's addendums). Also tried to confirm the travel insurance with Nomads. Read the fine print only to find out it was for 60 and under. Bummer. Sucks getting old.
