Back in Boca

Sitting in our AC room here in Boca Del Toros. This is our 3rd time here. Guess we kind of like it.Lou found some cold liter box white wine for $3.75 with acceptable taste and I grabbed a couple of local Balboa $.88 beer. And yes we do deserve it after the heat we endured.

Left Manzanillo at 8am and got to Puerto Viejo just in time to catch the bus to Sixoala. Took about an hour and a half to get to the border at Sixoala and cost about @2.70 each.

No problem at the border in Costa Rica, paid our 6bucks exit and off to the bridge for the walk across the water to Panama.

On the Panama side things were slower but speed up a bit once we got in the right line. They have one for coming and one for going. From the border you have to get to Chinguaola about 20km. Usually you take a shuttle for  big ones bus we lucked out and caught the bus for a single George. Then you grab the bus to Almirante.

That bus was sitting there waiting for us so 10 minutes later we were on the road again. Never waited more than a few minutes for any bus.Now this bus driver either had the runs or had taken speed because he did one hell of an imitation to an Indy racer on these narrow twisting hilly roads filled with hairpins, switchbacks, cutbacks and all kinds of other configurations. The comfort one could take was in the crucifix dangling on a string of cheap plastic multicoloured beads suspended from the driver's rear view mirror.

Arriving in Almirante requires a short hike down an alley to the launch docks 6 bucks each and off we went by speed boat to Boca and here we are in our AC planning tomorrow and a trip to Red Frog Beach over in Isla Bastimentos.
