Lets see left Bangkok by overnight train to Chiang Mai. It is a very nice 184000 pop. city in the northern mountains. Filled with a lot of expats and a real tourist town. lots of new cars. Seen my friend Robert and was asked if I would like to join him for his probably last trip, West Africa and Timbuktu. Sounds cool, maybe?
took the bus back to bangkok as train was full and plane too much.12 hours and I had 10 minutes to catch the train to the border.5hours more and into Poi Pet Cambodia. Shared a taxi with 3 others to Siem Reap and 3 hours later voila here I am.so I have been on the road 20 hours out of the last 21.
